⁷And it happened year after year, as often as she went up to the house of the Lord, that she would provoke her; so she wept and would not eat.

New International Version

⁷This went on year after year. Whenever Hannah went up to the house of the Lord, her rival provoked her till she wept and would not eat.^(A)

⁹And ^(A)he burned the house of the Lord, ^(B)the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem; even every great house he burned with fire.

⁹He set fire^(A) to the temple of the Lord, the royal palace and all the houses of Jerusalem. Every important building he burned down.^(B)
