53 For You have singled them out from all the peoples of the earth as Your inheritance, (A)just as You spoke through Moses Your servant, when You brought our fathers out of Egypt, Lord [a]God.”
Solomon’s Benediction
54 (B)When Solomon had finished praying this entire prayer and plea to the Lord, (C)he stood up from the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees with his [b]hands spread toward heaven. 55 And he stood and (D)blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying:

54 When Solomon had finished all these prayers and supplications to the Lord, he rose from before the altar of the Lord, where he had been kneeling with his hands spread out toward heaven. 55 He stood and blessed(B) the whole assembly of Israel in a loud voice, saying:
