²³ The Lord has also spoken of Jezebel, saying, ‘^(A)The dogs will eat Jezebel in the ^[a]territory of Jezreel.’ ^24 (B)The one belonging to Ahab, who dies in the city, the dogs will eat; and the one who dies in the field, the birds of the sky will eat.”

³⁰ Therefore this is what the Lord says concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah: “He shall have ^(A)no one to sit on the throne of David, and his ^(B)dead body shall be thrown out to the heat of the day and the frost of the night.
