Ark of the Covenant

¹⁰ “Now ^(A)they shall construct an ^[a]ark of acacia wood ^[b]two and a half cubits ^[c]long, one and a half cubits ^[d]wide, and one and a half cubits ^[e]high. ¹¹ You shall ^(B)overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and you shall make a gold molding ^[f]around it. ¹² You shall also cast four gold rings for it and ^[g]fasten them on its four feet; two rings shall be on one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. ¹³ And you shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. ¹⁴ You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark with them. ¹⁵ The ^(C)poles shall ^[h]remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it. ¹⁶ You shall ^(D)put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.

¹⁷ “And you shall ^(E)make ^[i]an atoning cover of pure gold, ^[j]two and a half cubits ^[k]long and one and a half cubits ^[l]wide. ¹⁸ You shall make two cherubim of gold; make them of hammered work ^[m]at the two ends of the atoning cover. ¹⁹ Make one cherub ^[n]at one end and one cherub ^[o]at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece ^[p]with the atoning cover at its two ends. ²⁰ And ^(F)the cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the atoning cover with their wings and ^[q]facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the atoning cover. ²¹ Then ^(G)you shall put the atoning cover ^[r]on top of the ark, and ^(H)in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you. ^22 (I)There I will meet with you; and from above the atoning cover, from ^(J)between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about ^[s]every commandment that I will give you for the sons of Israel.

Bread of the Presence

²³ “^(K)You shall also make a table of acacia wood, ^[t]two cubits ^[u]long and one cubit ^[v]wide, and one and a half cubits ^[w]high. ²⁴ You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a gold ^(L)border around it. ²⁵ And you shall make for it a rim of a ^[x]hand width around it; and you shall make a gold border for the rim around it. ²⁶ You shall also make four gold rings for it and put rings on the four corners which are on its four legs. ²⁷ The rings shall be close to the rim, as holders for the poles to carry the table. ²⁸ And you shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, so that with them the table may be carried. ²⁹ You shall also make its ^(M)dishes, its pans, its jars, and its libation bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold. ³⁰ And you shall set ^(N)the bread of the ^[y]Presence on the table before Me continually.

The Golden Lampstand

³¹ “^(O)Then you shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand, its base and its shaft, are to be made of hammered work; its cups, its ^[z]bulbs, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it. ^32 (P)Six branches shall go out from its sides; three branches of the lampstand from its one side and three branches of the lampstand from its ^[aa]other side. ^33 (Q)Three cups shall be shaped like almond blossoms on the one branch, a ^[ab]bulb and a flower, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms on the ^[ac]other branch, a ^[ad]bulb and a flower—the same for six branches going out from the lampstand; ³⁴ and ^(R)on the lampstand four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its ^[ae]bulbs and its flowers. ^35 (S)A ^[af]bulb shall be under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a ^[ag]bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a ^[ah]bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand. ^36 (T)Their ^[ai]bulbs and their branches shall be of one piece with it; all of it shall be one piece of hammered work of pure gold. ³⁷ Then you shall make its lamps seven in number; and ^(U)they shall ^[aj]mount its lamps so as to shed light on the space in front of it. ³⁸ Its tongs and its trays shall be of pure gold. ³⁹ It shall be made from a ^[ak]talent of pure gold, with all these utensils. ^40 (V)See that you make them ^(W)by the pattern for them, which was shown to you on the mountain.

37 ^(A)Now Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood; its length was ^[a]two and a half cubits, its width one and a half cubits, and its height one and a half cubits; ² and he overlaid it with pure gold inside and out, and made a gold molding for it all around. ³ He cast four rings of gold for it on its four feet; two rings on one side of it, and two rings on the ^[b]other side of it. ⁴ And he made poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold. ⁵ He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry ^[c]it. ⁶ He also made ^[d]an atoning cover of pure gold, two and a half cubits ^[e]long and one and a half cubits ^[f]wide. ⁷ And he made two cherubim of gold; he made them of hammered work ^[g]at the two ends of the atoning cover: ⁸ one cherub ^[h]at the one end and one cherub ^[i]at the other end; he made the cherubim of one piece with the atoning cover ^[j]at the two ends. ⁹ And the cherubim had their wings spread upward, covering the atoning cover with their wings, with their faces toward each other; the faces of the cherubim were toward the atoning cover.

^10 (B)Then he made the table of acacia wood, ^[k]two cubits ^[l]long, a cubit ^[m]wide, and one and a half cubits ^[n]high. ¹¹ He overlaid it with pure gold, and made a gold molding for it all around. ¹² And he made a rim for it of a ^[o]hand width all around, and made a gold molding for its rim all around. ¹³ He also cast four gold rings for it and put the rings on the four corners that were on its four legs. ¹⁴ Close by the rim were the rings, the holders for the poles to carry the table. ¹⁵ And he made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table. ¹⁶ He also made the utensils which were on the table, its dishes, its pans, its libation bowls, and its jars, with which to pour out drink offerings, of pure gold.

^17 (C)Then he made the lampstand of pure gold. He made the lampstand of hammered work, its base and its shaft; its cups, its ^[p]bulbs, and its flowers were of one piece with it. ¹⁸ There were six branches going out of its sides; three branches of the lampstand from the one side of it and three branches of the lampstand from the ^[q]other side of it; ¹⁹ three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a ^[r]bulb and a flower on one branch, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a ^[s]bulb and a flower on the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand. ²⁰ And on the lampstand there were four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its ^[t]bulbs and its flowers; ²¹ and a ^[u]bulb was under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a ^[v]bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a ^[w]bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand. ²² Their ^[x]bulbs and their branches were of one piece with it; the whole of it was a single hammered work of pure gold. ²³ And he made its seven lamps with its tongs and its trays of pure gold. ²⁴ He made it and all its utensils from a ^[y]talent of pure gold.

^25 (D)Then he made the altar of incense of acacia wood: a cubit ^[z]long and a cubit ^[aa]wide, square, and two cubits ^[ab]high; its horns were of one piece with it. ²⁶ And he overlaid it with pure gold, its top and its ^[ac]sides all around, and its horns; and he made a gold molding for it all around. ²⁷ He also made two golden rings for it under its molding, on its two sides—on opposite sides—as holders for poles with which to carry it. ²⁸ And he made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold. ^29 (E)Then he made the holy anointing oil and the pure, fragrant incense of spices, the work of a perfumer.
