Nympha

NYMPHA nĭm’ fə (Νύμφα). A Colossian Christian in whose house the Christians had meetings, and to whom Paul sent greetings (Col 4:15). It is not certain whether a man or a woman is referred to. If it is a man, the name should be spelled “Nymphas”; if a woman, “Nympha.” KJV and ASV have NYMPHAS; the RSV has NYMPHA. Nothing more is known of the person named.
