MIBHAR mĭb’ här (מִבְחָ֖ר). The name of one of David’s heroes (1 Chron 11:38). The name does not appear in the parallel passage, 2 Samuel 23:36, where instead of “Mibhar the son of Hagri” the reading is “of Zobah, Bani the Gadite.” The second text is prob. correct.
