MATRI, MATRITES mă’ trī, mă’ trīts (מַטְרִ֑י). Matri was a family of the tribe of Benjamin to which Saul belonged. When Israel chose its first king, the lot fell upon the tribe of Matri (1 Sam 10:21). KJV has MATRI; RSV, ASV, MATRITES.
