MAHATH mā’ hăth (מַ֣חַת). 1. A Kohathite Levite in David’s time; son of Amasai (1 Chron 6:35).

2. A Levite who assisted in the reforms of King Hezekiah (2 Chron 29:12) and who was one of the overseers of the Temple offerings (2 Chron 31:13).
