Zephaniah 3:4-6

4 Her prophets are light, and wicked persons: her priests have polluted the Sanctuary: they have wrested the Law.
5 The [a]just Lord is in the midst thereof: he will do none iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not: but the wicked will not learn to be ashamed.
6 I have [b]cut off the nations: their towers are desolate: I have made their streets waste, that none shall pass by, their cities are destroyed without man, and without inhabitant.

- Zephaniah 3:5 The wicked thus boasted that God was ever among them, but the Prophet answereth that that cannot excuse their wickedness: for God will not bear with their sins: yet that he did patiently abide and sent his Prophets continually to call them to repentance, but he profited nothing.

New International Version
4 Her prophets are unprincipled;
they are treacherous people.(A)
Her priests profane the sanctuary
and do violence to the law.(B)
5 The Lord within her is righteous;(C)
he does no wrong.(D)
Morning by morning(E) he dispenses his justice,
and every new day he does not fail,(F)
yet the unrighteous know no shame.(G)
Jerusalem Remains Unrepentant
6 “I have destroyed nations;
their strongholds are demolished.
I have left their streets deserted,
with no one passing through.
Their cities are laid waste;(H)
they are deserted and empty.
