Zephaniah 1:11-13

American Standard Version

¹¹Wail, ye inhabitants of ^[a]Maktesh; for all ^[b]the people of Canaan are undone; all they that were laden with silver are cut off. ¹²And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with lamps; and I will ^[c]punish the men that are ^[d]settled on their lees, that say in their heart, Jehovah will not do good, neither will he do evil. ¹³And their wealth shall become a spoil, and their houses a desolation: yea, they shall build houses, but shall not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but shall not drink the wine thereof.

New International Version

¹¹Wail,^(A) you who live in the market district^[a];
    all your merchants will be wiped out,
    all who trade with^[b] silver will be destroyed.^(B)
¹²At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps
    and punish those who are complacent,^(C)
    who are like wine left on its dregs,^(D)
who think, ‘The Lord will do nothing,^(E)
    either good or bad.’^(F)
¹³Their wealth will be plundered,^(G)
    their houses demolished.
Though they build houses,
    they will not live in them;
though they plant vineyards,
    they will not drink the wine.”^(H)
