10 For before those days there was (A)no wage for man or any wage for animal; and for him who went out or came in there was no [a](B)peace because of the adversary, and I (C)set all men one against another. 11 But now I will (D)not [b]treat the remnant of this people as in the former days,’ declares Yahweh of hosts. 12 ‘For there will be (E)peace for the seed: the vine will yield its fruit, the land will yield its produce, and the heavens will give their (F)dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit (G)all these things.

10 Before that time there were no wages(A) for people or hire for animals. No one could go about their business safely(B) because of their enemies, since I had turned everyone against their neighbor. 11 But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people as I did in the past,”(C) declares the Lord Almighty.
12 “The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit,(D) the ground will produce its crops,(E) and the heavens will drop their dew.(F) I will give all these things as an inheritance(G) to the remnant of this people.(H)
