4 Then I spoke and said to the angel who was speaking with me, “(A)What are these, my lord?” 5 The angel replied to me, “These are the (B)four spirits of heaven, going forth after standing before the Lord of all the earth, 6 with one of which the black horses are going forth to the (C)north country; and the white ones go forth after them, while the dappled ones go forth to the (D)south country.

4 I asked the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these, my lord?”
5 The angel answered me, “These are the four spirits[a](A) of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.(B) 6 The one with the black horses is going toward the north country, the one with the white horses toward the west,[b] and the one with the dappled horses toward the south.”
