Zechariah 14:19-21
New American Bible (Revised Edition)

19 This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the feast of Booths.

20 On that day, “Holy to the Lord”(A) will be written on the horses’ bells.[a] The pots in the house of the Lord will be as the basins before the altar. 21 Every pot[b] in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to the Lord of hosts. All who come to sacrifice will take them and cook in them. No longer will there be merchants in the house of the Lord of hosts on that day.

  1. 14:20 Horses’ bells: even these bells, part of the trappings of animals used for war, will become holy in the end time, like the bells of the high priest’s garb (cf. Ex 28:34).
  2. 14:21 Every pot: vessels used for mundane food preparation will, in the end time, be as holy as Temple vessels.

19 This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.(A)

20 On that day holy to the Lord(B) will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, and the cooking pots(C) in the Lord’s house will be like the sacred bowls(D) in front of the altar. 21 Every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be holy(E) to the Lord Almighty, and all who come to sacrifice will take some of the pots and cook in them. And on that day(F) there will no longer be a Canaanite[a](G) in the house(H) of the Lord Almighty.(I)
