² The word of the Lord came^(A) to him in the thirteenth year of the reign of Josiah^(B) son of Amon king of Judah,

⁷ From the time I brought your ancestors up from Egypt until today, I warned them again and again,^(A) saying, “Obey me.”

⁵ and if you do not listen to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I have sent to you again and again (though you have not listened^(A)),

²⁶ But they did not listen to me or pay attention.^(A) They were stiff-necked^(B) and did more evil than their ancestors.’^(C)
