4 Kwa hiyo ndugu zangu wapendwa, ninaotamani mno kuwaona; ninyi ambao ni furaha yangu na taji yangu, hivi ndivyo mnavyop aswa kusimama imara katika Bwana. 2 Nawasihi Euodia na Sintike wapatane katika Bwana. 3 Na wewe ndugu yangu uliye mwaminifu katika Bwana, nakuomba uwasaidie hawa akina mama, kwa maana wame fanya kazi ya kueneza Injili kwa bidii wakiwa nami pamoja na Kle menti na watumishi wenzangu wengine, ambao majina yao yameandikwa katika kitabu cha uzima.
4 Furahini katika Bwana siku zote, tena nasema furahini! 5 Upole wenu ufahamike kwa watu wote. Bwana anakaribia kuja. 6 Msifadhaike juu ya jambo lo lote; lakini katika kila jambo mjulisheni Mungu haja zenu, kwa kusali na kuomba pamoja na kushu kuru 7 Na amani ya Mungu, ambayo inapita ufahamu wote, italinda mioyo yenu na nia zenu kwa Kristo Yesu.
8 Hatimaye ndugu zangu, mambo yote yaliyo ya kweli, yo yote yaliyo na sifa, yaliyo ya haki, yo yote yaliyo safi, yo yote ya kupendeza, yo yote yenye sifa njema; ukiwapo uzuri wo wote, pakiwepo na cho chote kinachostahili kusifiwa, tafakarini mambo hayo. 9 Mambo yote mliyojifunza au kupokea au kusikia kutoka kwangu, au kuyaona kwangu, yatekelezeni. Na Mungu wa amani ata kuwa pamoja nanyi. 10 Nina furaha kubwa katika Bwana kwa maana hatimaye mmeanza tena kunikumbuka. Kusema kweli mmekuwa mkinikum buka lakini mlikuwa hamjapata nafasi ya kuonyesha upendo wenu. 11 Sisemi hivyo kwa sababu nahitaji kitu, la. Kwa maana nimeji funza kuridhika katika hali yo yote niliyo nayo. 12 Nimepata kupungukiwa, pia nimepata kuwa na wingi wa vitu. Nimejifunza siri ya kuridhika katika kila hali, wakati wa shibe na wakati wa njaa; wakati wa kuwa na wingi wa vitu na wakati wa kupungukiwa. 13 Naweza kufanya mambo yote katika yeye anipaye nguvu.

Ndugu ninaokaa nao pia wanawasalimu. 22 Vile vile watu wote wa Mungu wa hapa na hasa wale wa nyumba ya Kaisari, nao pia wanawasalimu.

Closing Appeal for Steadfastness and Unity
4 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for,(A) my joy and crown, stand firm(B) in the Lord in this way, dear friends!
2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind(C) in the Lord. 3 Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers,(D) whose names are in the book of life.(E)
Final Exhortations
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!(F) 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.(G) 6 Do not be anxious about anything,(H) but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.(I) 7 And the peace of God,(J) which transcends all understanding,(K) will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.(L) And the God of peace(M) will be with you.

10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me.(N) Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content(O) whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry,(P) whether living in plenty or in want.(Q) 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.(R)
14 Yet it was good of you to share(S) in my troubles. 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days(T) of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia,(U) not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only;(V) 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica,(W) you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.(X) 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.(Y) 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus(Z) the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant(AA) offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19 And my God will meet all your needs(AB) according to the riches of his glory(AC) in Christ Jesus.
20 To our God and Father(AD) be glory for ever and ever. Amen.(AE)
Final Greetings
21 Greet all God’s people in Christ Jesus. The brothers and sisters who are with me(AF) send greetings. 22 All God’s people(AG) here send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household.
23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ(AH) be with your spirit.(AI) Amen.[a]

4 Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
2 I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.
3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.
23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
