1 Kutoka kwa Paulo, mtume wa Kristo Yesu kwa mapenzi ya Mungu. Kwa watu wa Mungu walio waaminifu kwa Kristo Yesu. 2 Nawa takieni neema ya Mungu na amani kutoka kwa Mungu Baba yetu na kwa Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo. 3 Asifiwe Mungu, Baba wa Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo ambaye ametu bariki sisi kwa kila baraka za kiroho zitokazo mbinguni tukiwa ndani ya Kristo. 4 Mungu alituchagua sisi tuwe ndani ya Kristo hata kabla ya kuwekwa misingi ya ulimwengu, ili tuwe watakatifu, watu wasio na lawama mbele zake. 5 Kwa upendo wake, alipanga kabla ya mambo yote, kutufanya sisi kuwa watoto wake kwa njia ya Yesu Kristo kwa mapenzi yake mwenyewe; 6 na hivyo apewe sifa kwa ajili ya neema yake tukufu ambayo tumepewa bure katika Mpendwa wake. 7 Kutoka kwake, tunapata ukombozi kwa ajili ya damu yake, yaani, kusamehewa dhambi zetu; kulingana na wingi wa neema yake 8 ambayo ametumiminia kwa wingi. 9 Kwa maana ametufahamisha kwa hekima yote na ufahamu, siri ya mapenzi yake, kulingana na mpango aliokusudia kuukamilisha kwa njia ya Kristo. 10 Mpango huo ambao ungetekelezwa wakati ukitimia, ni kwamba Mungu ataviunganisha vitu vyote po pote vilipo, mbinguni na duniani, viwe kwake chini ya Kristo. 11 Tukiwa ndani ya Kristo, tulichaguliwa kama alivy opanga Mungu kwa makusudio yake yeye ambaye hufanya mambo yote kulingana na mapenzi yake. 12 Kwa njia hiyo, sisi ambao tulikuwa wa kwanza kumtegemea Kristo, tupate kuishi maisha yatakayoleta sifa kwa utukufu wake. 13 Ninyi pia mliingia ndani ya Kristo mliposikia neno la kweli, Injili ya wokovu wenu. Nanyi mmemwa mini, mkawekewa muhuri na Roho Mtakatifu ambaye mliahidiwa, 14 yeye ndiye dhamana ya urithi wetu mpaka hapo tutakapoupokea, kwa sifa ya utukufu wake. Shukrani Na Maombi
15 Hii ndio sababu nilipopata habari za imani yenu katika Bwana wetu Yesu, na juu ya upendo mlio nao kwa watu wa Mungu, 16 sijaacha kumshukuru Mungu kwa ajili yenu, na kuwakumbuka katika sala zangu. 17 Nazidi kumwomba Mungu wa Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo, Baba wa utukufu, awajalieni roho ya hekima na ya mafunuo mpate kumfahamu zaidi. 18 Ninaomba pia kwamba macho ya mioyo yenu yaangaziwe ili mpate kujua tumaini mliloitiwa, na mtambue utajiri wa urithi wa utukufu wake kwa watu wa Mungu; 19 na muu fahamu uweza wake usiopimika ambao ametupa sisi tunaoamini. Uweza huo ni sawa na ile nguvu kuu 20 ambayo aliitumia alipomfufua Kristo kutoka kwa wafu, akamweka akae mkono wake wa kulia katika enzi yake mbinguni. 21 Hapo alipo ni juu sana, kupita tawala na mamlaka zote na nguvu zote na milki, na kupita cheo cho chote kinachoweza kutolewa, si tu katika nyakati hizi, bali pia katika nyakati zijazo. 22 Na Mungu ameweka vitu vyote viwe chini ya mamlaka yake na akamteuwa awe mkuu wa vitu vyote kwa ajili ya kanisa, 23 ambalo ni mwili wake, nalo limejawa na yeye ambaye hujaza kila kitu kwa kila njia. 1 Paul, an apostle(A) of Christ Jesus by the will of God,(B)
To God’s holy people(C) in Ephesus,[a](D) the faithful(E) in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.(F)
Praise for Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,(G) who has blessed us in the heavenly realms(H) with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us(I) in him before the creation of the world(J) to be holy and blameless(K) in his sight. In love(L) 5 he[b] predestined(M) us for adoption to sonship[c](N) through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure(O) and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace,(P) which he has freely given us in the One he loves.(Q) 7 In him we have redemption(R) through his blood,(S) the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches(T) of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he[d] made known to us the mystery(U) of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed(V) in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment(W)—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.(X)
11 In him we were also chosen,[e] having been predestined(Y) according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose(Z) of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.(AA) 13 And you also were included in Christ(AB) when you heard the message of truth,(AC) the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal,(AD) the promised Holy Spirit,(AE) 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance(AF) until the redemption(AG) of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.(AH)
Thanksgiving and Prayer
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus(AI) and your love for all God’s people,(AJ) 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you,(AK) remembering you in my prayers.(AL) 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,(AM) may give you the Spirit[f] of wisdom(AN) and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened(AO) in order that you may know the hope to which he has called(AP) you, the riches(AQ) of his glorious inheritance(AR) in his holy people,(AS) 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power(AT) is the same as the mighty strength(AU) 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead(AV) and seated him at his right hand(AW) in the heavenly realms,(AX) 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion,(AY) and every name(AZ) that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.(BA) 22 And God placed all things under his feet(BB) and appointed him to be head(BC) over everything for the church, 23 which is his body,(BD) the fullness of him(BE) who fills everything in every way.(BF)

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
