17 And Yehudah went with Shim’on his brother, and they struck down the Kena’ani that inhabited Tzephat, and utterly destroyed it. And the shem of the Ir was called Chormah.
18 Also Yehudah took Azah (Gaza) and the territory thereof, and Askelon and the territory thereof, and Ekron and the territory thereof.
19 And Hashem was with Yehudah; and he possessed the inhabitants of the hill country; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the [broad] valley [areas], because they had chariots of barzel (iron).

Judges 1:17-19
New International Version
17 Then the men of Judah went with the Simeonites(A) their fellow Israelites and attacked the Canaanites living in Zephath, and they totally destroyed[a] the city. Therefore it was called Hormah.[b](B) 18 Judah also took[c] Gaza,(C) Ashkelon(D) and Ekron—each city with its territory.
19 The Lord was with(E) the men of Judah. They took possession of the hill country,(F) but they were unable to drive the people from the plains, because they had chariots fitted with iron.(G)
