Romans 9:29-31

²⁹And just as Isaiah foretold,

“^(A)Unless ^(B)the Lord of ^[a]Sabaoth had left to us a ^[b]posterity,
^(C)We would have become like Sodom, and would have ^[c]resembled Gomorrah.”

³⁰^(D)What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness, even ^(E)the righteousness which is ^[d]by faith; ³¹but Israel, ^(F)pursuing a law of righteousness, did not ^(G)arrive at that law.

we would have become like Sodom,

³⁰What then shall we say?^(C) That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;^(D) ³¹but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness,^(E) have not attained their goal.^(F)
