Romans 7:19-21
The Voice
19 I can determine that I am going to do good, but I don’t do it; instead, I end up living out the evil that I decided not to do. 20 If I end up doing the exact thing I pledged not to do, I am no longer doing it because sin has taken up residence in me.
21 Here’s an important principle I’ve discovered: regardless of my desire to do the right thing, it is clear that evil is never far away.

New International Version
19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.(A) 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.(B)
21 So I find this law at work:(C) Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
