Romans 7:19-21
American Standard Version
19 For the good which I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I practise. 20 But if what I would not, that I do, it is no more I that [a]do it, but sin which dwelleth in me. 21 I find then [b]the law, that, to me who would do good, evil is present.

New International Version
19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.(A) 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.(B)
21 So I find this law at work:(C) Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
