²³ Now ^(A)not for his sake only was it written that it was counted to him, ²⁴ but for our sake also, to whom it will be counted, as those ^(B)who believe upon Him who ^(C)raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, ²⁵ He who was ^(D)delivered over on account of our transgressions, and was ^(E)raised on account of our justification.

⁴ For ^(A)whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through the perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

^20 (A)Know this first of all, that ^(B)no prophecy of Scripture comes by one’s own interpretation. ²¹ For ^(C)no prophecy was ever made by the will of man, but men being ^(D)moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
