17 I appeal to you, brethren, to take note of those who create dissensions and difficulties, in opposition to the doctrine which you have been taught; avoid them. 18 For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites,[b] and by fair and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded.

16 Greet one another with a holy kiss.(A)
All the churches of Christ send greetings.
17 I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned.(B) Keep away from them.(C) 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ,(D) but their own appetites.(E) By smooth talk and flattery they deceive(F) the minds of naive people.
