18 The one who thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and has human approval. 19 Let us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual edification. 20 Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for you to make others fall by what you eat;

18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.(A)

19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace(B) and to mutual edification.(C) 20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food.(D) All food is clean,(E) but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.(F)
