5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also (A)for the sake of conscience. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. 7 (B)Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honour to whom honour is owed.

5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.(A)
6 This is also why you pay taxes,(B) for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes;(C) if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
