⁴ Now as we have many parts in one body,^(A) and all the parts do not have the same function, ⁵ in the same way we who are many^(B) are one body in Christ^(C) and individually members of one another.

¹⁷ Because there is one bread, we who are many are one^(A) body, since all of us share the one bread.

⁹ to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing^(A) by the one Spirit,

Unity Yet Diversity in the Body

¹² For just as the body is one^(A) and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body—so also is Christ.^{(B) 13} For we were all baptized by^[a] one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and we were all given one Spirit to drink.^(C)

¹⁶ He did this so that he might reconcile both to God in one body^(A) through the cross by which he put the hostility to death.^[a]

¹⁸ For through him we both have access^(A) in one Spirit to the Father.^(B)

¹⁵ And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called^(A) in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful.
