¹⁷Do not repay anyone evil for evil.^(A) Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.^(B)

¹⁷Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

²¹For we are making provision^(A) for what is right,^(B) not only before the Lord but also before men.

²¹For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.^(A)

²¹Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
