New Testament for Everyone
7 “or, ‘Who shall go down into the depths?’ ” (in other words, to bring the Messiah up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we proclaim); 9 because if you profess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

7 “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’”[a](A) (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).(B) 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[b](C) that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare(D) with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”(E) and believe(F) in your heart that God raised him from the dead,(G) you will be saved.(H)
