From Idolatry to Depravity

26 For this reason God delivered them over to disgraceful passions.(A) Their women[a] exchanged natural sexual relations[b] for unnatural ones. 27 The men[c] in the same way also left natural relations with women and were inflamed in their lust for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men(B) and received in their own persons[d] the appropriate penalty of their error.

28 And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right.

Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.(D)

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over(E) to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
