To the Church in Laodicea

¹⁴ “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the ^(A)Amen, ^(B)the faithful and true witness, ^(C)the beginning of God's creation.

³⁷ Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, ^(A)“You say that I am a king. ^(B)For this purpose I was born and for this purpose ^(C)I have come into the world—^(D)to bear witness to the truth. ^(E)Everyone who is ^(F)of the truth ^(G)listens to my voice.”

^13 (A)I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, ^(B)who in his testimony before^[a] Pontius Pilate made ^(C)the good confession,

¹³ “‘I know where you dwell, ^(A)where Satan's throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not ^(B)deny my faith^[a] even in the days of Antipas ^(C)my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.
