Good News Translation
2 (A)He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent—that is, the Devil, or Satan—and chained him up for a thousand years. 3 The angel threw him into the abyss, locked it, and sealed it, so that he could not deceive the nations any more until the thousand years were over. After that he must be set loose for a little while.
4 (B)Then I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were given the power to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been executed because they had proclaimed the truth that Jesus revealed and the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image, nor had they received the mark of the beast on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and ruled as kings with Christ for a thousand years.

2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan,(A) and bound him for a thousand years.(B) 3 He threw him into the Abyss,(C) and locked and sealed(D) it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations(E) anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.
4 I saw thrones(F) on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge.(G) And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded(H) because of their testimony about Jesus(I) and because of the word of God.(J) They[a] had not worshiped the beast(K) or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands.(L) They came to life and reigned(M) with Christ a thousand years.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
