Revelation 18:19-21

¹⁹and they did cast dust upon their heads, and were crying out, weeping and sorrowing, saying, Wo, wo, the great city! in which were made rich all having ships in the sea, out of her costliness -- for in one hour was she made waste.

²⁰`Be glad over her, O heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets, because God did judge your judgment of her!'

²¹And one strong messenger did take up a stone as a great millstone, and did cast [it] to the sea, saying, `Thus with violence shall Babylon be cast, the great city, and may not be found any more at all;

New International Version

¹⁹They will throw dust on their heads,^(A) and with weeping and mourning^(B) cry out:

“‘Woe! Woe to you, great city,^(C)
where all who had ships on the sea
became rich through her wealth!
In one hour she has been brought to ruin!’^(D)

²⁰“Rejoice over her, you heavens!^(E)
    Rejoice, you people of God!
    Rejoice, apostles and prophets!
For God has judged her
    with the judgment she imposed on you.”^(F)

The Finality of Babylon’s Doom

²¹Then a mighty angel^(G) picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea,^(H) and said:

“With such violence
the great city^(I) of Babylon will be thrown down,
never to be found again.
