11 And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.(A) 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them [in the presence of God]. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you in great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time [remaining]!”(B)
13 And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who had given birth to the male Child.

11 They triumphed over(A) him
by the blood of the Lamb(B)
and by the word of their testimony;(C)
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.(D)
12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens(E)
and you who dwell in them!
But woe(F) to the earth and the sea,(G)
because the devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury,
because he knows that his time is short.”
13 When the dragon(H) saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.(I)
