² Therefore we will not fear,^(A) though the earth give way^(B)
    and the mountains fall^(C) into the heart of the sea,^(D)
3 though its waters roar^(E) and foam^(F)
    and the mountains quake^(G) with their surging.^[a]

³⁰ I will show wonders in the heavens^(A)
    and on the earth,^(B)
    blood and fire and billows of smoke.
³¹ The sun will be turned to darkness^(C)
    and the moon to blood
    before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.^(D)
