Maori Bible

99  Ko Ihowa te Kingi; kia wiri nga iwi: e noho ana ia i waenganui i nga kerupima; kia ngaueue te whenua.

2 He nui a Ihowa i Hiona: kei runga ake ia i nga iwi katoa.

3 Kia whakamoemiti ratou ki tou ingoa nui, whakamataku; he tapu ia.

4 E matenui ana hoki te kaha o te kingi ki te whakawa tika; ko koe hei whakapumau i te pono: he whakawa tika, he hekore tau mahi i roto i a Hakopa.

5 Whakanuia a Ihowa, to tatou Atua: koropiko ki tona turanga waewae; he tapu ia.

6 Ko Mohi raua ko Arona i roto i ana tohunga, me Hamuera i roto i te hunga e karanga ana ki tona ingoa: i karanga ratou ki a Ihowa, a whakahoki kupu ana mai ia ki a ratou.

7 I korero ia ki a ratou i roto i te pou kapua: i pupuri ratou i ana whakaaturanga, i te tikanga i whakatakotoria e ia ki a ratou.

8 E Ihowa, e to matou Atua, i whakahoki kupu koe ki a ratou: he Atua tohu koe i a ratou, otiia i rapu utu ano koe mo a ratou mahi.

9 Whakanuia a Ihowa, to tatou Atua, koropiko atu i tona maunga tapu: he tapu hoki a Ihowa, to tatou Atua.

Psalm 99

1 The Lord reigns,(A)
    let the nations tremble;(B)
he sits enthroned(C) between the cherubim,(D)
    let the earth shake.
2 Great is the Lord(E) in Zion;(F)
    he is exalted(G) over all the nations.
3 Let them praise(H) your great and awesome name(I)—
    he is holy.(J)

4 The King(K) is mighty, he loves justice(L)—
    you have established equity;(M)
in Jacob you have done
    what is just and right.(N)
5 Exalt(O) the Lord our God
    and worship at his footstool;
    he is holy.

6 Moses(P) and Aaron(Q) were among his priests,
    Samuel(R) was among those who called on his name;
they called on the Lord
    and he answered(S) them.
7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud;(T)
    they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.

8 Lord our God,
    you answered them;
you were to Israel a forgiving God,(U)
    though you punished(V) their misdeeds.[a]
9 Exalt the Lord our God
    and worship at his holy mountain,
    for the Lord our God is holy.
