New International Version

¹²For he who avenges blood^(A) remembers;
he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.^(B)

¹⁸For the needy shall not always be forgotten,
and ^(A)the hope of the poor shall not perish for ever.

¹⁸But God will never forget the needy;
the hope^(A) of the afflicted^(B) will never perish.
