in my heart I carry abuse from all the peoples—

⁵⁰Remember, Lord, how your servant has^[a] been mocked,^(A)
how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the nations,

³For even the Messiah did not please Himself.^(A) On the contrary, as it is written, The insults of those who insult You have fallen on Me.^(B)^[a]

³For even Christ did not please himself^(A) but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”^[a]^(B)
