²May my prayer reach Your presence;

88 O lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:

²Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;

³I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience^(A) as my ancestors did, when I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day.^(B)

³I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
