18 The voice of thy thunder was round about; the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.
19 Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not [b]known.

17 The clouds poured down water,(A)
the heavens resounded with thunder;(B)
your arrows(C) flashed back and forth.
18 Your thunder was heard in the whirlwind,(D)
your lightning(E) lit up the world;
the earth trembled and quaked.(F)
19 Your path(G) led through the sea,(H)
your way through the mighty waters,
though your footprints were not seen.
