8 The Lord judges the peoples;(A)
vindicate me, Lord,
according to my righteousness and my integrity.[a](B)

9 Let the evil of the wicked come to an end,(C)
but establish the righteous.(D)
The One who examines the thoughts and emotions[b]
is a righteous God.(E)
10 My shield is with[c] God,(F)
who saves the upright in heart.(G)

9 Bring to an end the violence of the wicked
    and make the righteous secure—(E)
you, the righteous God(F)
    who probes minds and hearts.(G)
