Psalm 58:9-11
English Standard Version Anglicised
9 Sooner than your pots can feel the heat of (A)thorns,
whether green or ablaze, may he (B)sweep them away![a]
10 (C)The righteous will rejoice when he sees the vengeance;
he will (D)bathe his feet in the blood of the wicked.
11 Mankind will say, “Surely there is (E)a reward for the righteous;
surely there is a God who (F)judges on earth.”

9 Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns(A)—
whether they be green or dry—the wicked will be swept away.[a](B)
10 The righteous will be glad(C) when they are avenged,(D)
when they dip their feet in the blood of the wicked.(E)
11 Then people will say,
“Surely the righteous still are rewarded;(F)
surely there is a God who judges the earth.”(G)
