4 Their poison is even like the poison of a serpent; like the deaf [a]adder that stoppeth his ear.

5 Which heareth not the voice of the enchanter, though he be most expert in charming.

6 Break their [b]teeth, O God, in their mouths: break the jaws of the young lions, O Lord.

4 Their venom is like the venom of a snake,(A)
    like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears,
5 that will not heed(B) the tune of the charmer,(C)
    however skillful the enchanter may be.

6 Break the teeth in their mouths, O God;(D)
    Lord, tear out the fangs of those lions!(E)
