New International Version

⁴He chose our inheritance^(A) for us,
the pride of Jacob,^(B) whom he loved.^[a]

¹⁸But be glad and rejoice forever
in that which I create;
for behold, ^(A)I create Jerusalem to be a joy,
and her people to be a gladness.

¹⁸But be glad and rejoice^(A) forever
in what I will create,
for I will create Jerusalem^(B) to be a delight
and its people a joy.
