²³^(A)The footsteps of a man are established by Yahweh,
And He ^(B)delights in his way.

Psalm 37:23

New International Version

²³The Lord makes firm the steps^(A)
of the one who delights^(B) in him;

²He brought me up out of the ^(A)pit of destruction, out of the ^[a]miry clay,
And ^(B)He set my feet upon a high rock, ^(C)He established my steps.

²He lifted me out of the slimy pit,^(A)
out of the mud^(B) and mire;^(C)
he set my feet^(D) on a rock^(E)
and gave me a firm place to stand.
