⁵I abhor^(A) the assembly of evildoers
and refuse to sit with the wicked.

⁵I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

⁸Those who cling to worthless idols^(A)
forsake faithful love,^(B)

⁸“Those who cling to worthless idols^(A)
turn away from God’s love for them.

⁸They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
