Isaiah 53:2-3
English Standard Version
2 For he grew up before him like a young plant,
(A)and like a root out of dry ground;
(B)he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him.
3 (C)He was despised and rejected[a] by men,
a man of sorrows[b] and acquainted with[c] grief;[d]
and as one from whom men hide their faces[e]
he was despised, and (D)we esteemed him not.

and like a root(B) out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance(C) that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering,(D) and familiar with pain.(E)
Like one from whom people hide(F) their faces
he was despised,(G) and we held him in low esteem.
