⁷ Some trust in chariots^(A) and some in horses,^(B)
    but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.^(C)

⁸ In God we make our boast^(A) all day long,^(B)

¹⁶ You will winnow^(A) them, the wind will pick them up,
    and a gale^(B) will blow them away.^(C)
But you will rejoice^(D) in the Lord
    and glory^(E) in the Holy One^(F) of Israel.

² and if in a truthful, just and righteous way
    you swear,^(A) ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’^(B)
then the nations will invoke blessings^(C) by him
    and in him they will boast.^(D)”
