“Yet I have [a]set My King
[b]On My holy hill of Zion.”

“I will declare the [c]decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
(A)‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
(B)You shall [d]break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”

10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
12 [e]Kiss the Son, lest [f]He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When (C)His wrath is kindled but a little.
(D)Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
