[a]The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of wickedness made me afraid.

The [b]sorrows of the grave have compassed me about: the snares of death overtook me.

But in my trouble did I call upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his Temple, and my cry did come before him, even into his ears.
