²⁷For You rescue an afflicted people,^(A)
but You humble those with haughty eyes.^(B)

²⁷You save the humble^(A)
but bring low those whose eyes are haughty.^(B)

²⁷For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.

¹⁵Humanity is brought low, man is humbled,
and haughty eyes are humbled.^(A)

¹⁵So people will be brought low^(A)
and everyone humbled,^(B)
the eyes of the arrogant^(C) humbled.

¹⁵And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
