Psalm 14

Denunciation of Godlessness

To the leader. Of David.

³⁵ For in truth there is no one among those who have been born who has not acted wickedly; among those who have existed there is no one who has not done wrong.^(A)

⁴⁴ You are from your father the devil, and you choose to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.^(A)

⁴ Whoever says, “I have come to know him,” but does not obey his commandments is a liar, and in such a person the truth does not exist;
